‘Doin’ work’ with Brayden Nelson on a new ‘Chasing Streetlights’ track (here’s a pic of his set-up.) Bray’s played shows in my band in the past (he’s the dude to the left of me). Crazy talented guy and a really good dude. More to come…..
Been working on some brand-spankin’ new song lyrics for ‘Chasing Streetlights’ with the hilarious and talented Jacqui Heck. Not spilling the beans on the song just yet, but its gonna be awesome. Besides being a fantastic writer and musician, she’s can currently be seen singing and dancing nightly in San Francisco’s landmark show “Beach Blanket Babylon”. Although she has lousy taste in NFL teams, we’ll keep her around. You may be saying to yourself “that girl looks strikingly like the very girl who slapped the crap out of Shawn in ‘The Risk’ video”. It is actually her, so don’t piss her off.
Say those words, say those words like there’s nothing left.
Close your eyes and you might begin that there is some way out.
Open up, open up your heart to me now.
Let it all come pouring out,
There’s nothing I can’t take.
And if there’s love just feel it,
And if there’s life we’ll see it.
This is no time to be alone, alone, yeah
I won’t let you go.
And if your sky falling,
Just take my hand and hold it.
You don’t have to be alone, alone, yeah
I won’t let you go.
Here’s ‘Movie of Your Life’ - the 1st finished song for “Chasing Streetlights”.
Hey funky folks,
As we wrapped up the Kickstarter campaign, the evil plot was hatched that I would need to start a ‘making of the record’ blog’. As so many people were involved in creating this opportunity, this blog will be the best way to keep everybody connected and up-to-date. Its probably goinging to pretty hilarious, so ready yourselves.
peace in your hood,
Did you hear the ‘59 Sound coming through on Grandmama’s radio?
Did you hear the rattling chains in the hospital walls?
Did you hear the old gospel choir when they came to carry you over?
Did you hear your favorite song one last time?
